What NOT to do, if you want to increase Web Traffic: I have noticed that some bloggers just add random links as entire posts, on a daily basis too. I don’t understand the conceptualization behind such activities. It makes more sense getting other people linking back to you instead of linking to them without any valid explanation.
These posts have no value, i.e. the reader gets no value, i.e. the reader does not come back to your site, it’s actually quite simple. Net-Link-Posts (N-L-P’s) as I call them, are then just random fillers, which create a false perception that people are blogging all the time. I am awaiting an argument which could state otherwise, because this def goes on my Top 10 W-TEP list on how to avoid LOSING traffic!

Ok, well let’s think about this rationally right: I am a blogger, I have a personal blog. My readers like ME as the author, they know what I like, what I don’t, they know where I go and where I don’t. The links serve as an informative tool for readers to know what I am reading.
Let me see, have you ever heard of del.icio.us? Hmmmm… I wonder?
I bet you think that this site is a load of hogwash too. Well anyways, delicious allows users to share. Sharing is important. It’s not all about taking Boltieboy. Sometimes it’s good to give.
The more you give, the more you get.
Did you not suggest that it is a good idea to have Google on your blogroll? Is that not the same as having a random link as you call it? You are linking to them for nothing, giving.
I cannot tell you how many times of stumbled on a site and added it to my blogs daily links only to have those bloggers email me and thank me and add me to their blogrolls.
There is a suitable argument for your case.
Bolton, I agree somewhat with your post. I do think that link posts are just fillers and nothing more. In my opinion it presents a lazy blogger who wants to get traffic by generating link posts…
